  34. Paradreamreal: Any specific highlights?
  35. dreamrealPretty much all of it. It's a pretty depressing list: I read it going "heyyyy waitasec"
  36. dreamrealI've been at places where ALL of those things were said, apart from the specific names

  42. dreamrealit's the human one, right?
  43. sbalmosdreamreal: you've seen me. I think you know the answer.
  44. dreamrealWell, you avoided the "looks like human" part of the human farm, they skipped you because you looked like chicken

  53. ChronosI've learned the hard way to never bother to try to change current processes.
  54. Chronos99%+ of the time, nothing meaningfully changes anyway. And it tends to get you labeled as a pain in the ass.
  55. Para+1
  56. cheeserwe do all our rfc/spec work in google docs rather than github/markdown so editing, revising, commenting is all super fun.
  57. cheeseri've whine several times but unsurprisingly no one gives a shit.

  85. jreicherdreamreal: what's the context for that Malin Nordström post?
  86. jreicherChronos: Para: I've spent almost my entire career changing processes. It's almost always been worth it.

  90. jreicherNope
  91. jreicherBut I had a very strong relationship with my manager (and their manager). That's crucial.
  92. jreicherAnd teammates who weren't afraid to argue with me. I often make a point of calling out my own mistakes or stupidities to encourage that by reminding them I'm fallible. I'm usually the person asking the dumb question in every room so nobody is afraid to argue with me at other times.
