  1. llanhmockso nice how Jetbrains Installation instructions reference IntelliJ IDEA-{version}, but reality has it as "idea-IU-{build}". I don't suppose this is os dependent, is it? I'm on linux, but I think it's the same convention for my windows version as well.
  2. llanhmockwell, the tar.gz file is {version}, but not written as IDEA-{version}
  3. julemand101llanhmock: I just install JetBrains Toolbox and install Intellij though that and let the toolbox keep it updated. Works fine on my Linux as it gets installed in my home folder so it can update itself without root
  4. llanhmockjulemand101: ah right - I was meaning to checkout toolbox.
  5. julemand101If the tar file does not mention ARM64, it is for x86_64
  6. julemand101I can see you can download: jetbrains-toolbox-3.8.1.88030-arm64.tar.gz and jetbrains-toolbox-3.8.1.88030.tar.gz from: https://www.jetbrains.com/toolbox-app/download/other/ when selecting Linux

  10. deebomm i was wondering how are they doing "arm64 java", but i guess they have to bundle the JRE so still need to know which platform it is
  11. julemand101Yes, they bundle JRE with the program. I can also see they bundle with a few other stuff like 7-Zip and "askpass.exe"
