- bluedeno grift continues, dreamreal
- dreamrealYeah, well
- bluedreamreal: is it possible to configure *certain* news sources for *certain* channels?
- bluefor example, I'd be interesting in node, deno and bun news for #primate
- blueinterested*
- dreamrealWhat I don't get is what *cloudflare* gets out of it
- dreamrealWell, subscribing channels to feeds is trivial and the feature's been there forever, which is how THIS channel gets some feeds
- dreamrealso what I'd need is the feeds, and then where you want them subscribed
- bluedreamreal: possibly better integration and offering deno stuff, dunno otherwise
- bluedreamreal: does nevet have a function to list me all past-configured feeds, or is that private info?
- bluelike: !list feeds
- dreamrealYou mean you want to see the list of feeds it HAS?
- blueI don't mind getting it as a private message
- blueyes
- dreamrealYou DO NOT WANT a full list of feeds on IRC :D
- dreamrealIt wouldn't be "a private message" it would be a flood
- bluethen search maye? Ideally, I want to say: activate feed <number>
- blueobviously it already has a deno blog feed
- blueI just wanna reuse that
- bluefor #primate
- blueif not via irc then web search would be also ok for me
- dreamrealGonna file a bug against exporting the OPML file, going to send one to you on discord
- bluethen all I need to do on irc is `+feed 10`
- blueand to deactivate, `-feed 10`
- blueor whatever the id is
- dreamrealhttps://github.com/streampack-dev/streampack/tree/main/service-rss
- bluethen nevet says: feed #10 active for #primate (deno.com/blog)
- blueis this feasible
- blue?
- blueyes but I'm asking in general if you already normalise feeds, or is it an entry per channel
- blueif you normalise feeds, then working with ids or aliases is much more comfortable
- dreamrealNot sure what you mean. There's a central list of feeds, and a list of subscriptions that say "emit new entries to these listeners."
- dreamrealso you have a 1:M map of feeds and consumers.
- bluenvm, already solved, I made it more complicated than necessary
- blueI thought that every url gets an id you can reuse
- dreamrealIt ... does, but it does not expose it
- dreamrealthe natural way to think about a website is via its url :D
- blueyes, but remember I have to go to the website and look it up
- blueit would have been easier for me to go to bytecode.news/feeds and look for the ones I'm interested in, then add them by ids or in bulk
- dreamrealYes, I agree, and I'm adding that as an issue
- dreamrealalthough subscription is an admin feature
- bluealso, does nevet provide a list of active feeds per channel?
- dreamrealchanging the bot's DATA is a user operation; changing the bot's config = admin
- blueand could you please add me as admin for #primate / #repopack, or is that impossible?
- dreamrealadmin isn't by channel, it's by identity :/
- blueor not admin, but a role that can configure feeds for that channel

- dreamrealfeed subscriptions
- dreamrealgrrrr
- dreamrealfsck, wrong version, give me a few minutes
- bluecalm down, young blood
- blueit's all good
- dreamrealyeah, but this is stuff that I want to work :D
- blueya, but take your time and solve it properly, I'm not waiting on it to happen yesterday
- dreamrealIt IS solved, I just deployed a version that was older than I intended
- dreamrealSo did you read the new article?
- dreamrealthis is why I wanted the UI separated from the actual app, too: the UIs don't really care if the backend blips during a deployment, unless they need live data
- dreamrealso common content just gets cached and reused
- bluedreamreal: I didn't read it yet, I just got home
