- dreamreal"super intelligence"
- dreamrealtrump is a moron quite often
- dreamrealcall it "AI" and you're an enemy of the state, according to the orange man
- dreamrealI'm not suffering from TDS but sometimes that guy is an idiot
- dreamreal... much like most of humanity
- dreamrealsorry, that's for #metal
- bot[bun.com] Bun v1.4.3 - https://bun.com/blog/bun-v1.4.3
- phalethusing application/x-ndjson looks like a good idea if the client can really start parsing the payload earlier
- phalethI've already enabled compression of application/x-ndjson in haproxy, means for primate website that's ready
- phalethI guess no change for bytecode.news needed since that uses it's own API, not sure
- bluehi phaleth
- phalethhi blue
- blueflog is getting ready soon
- phalethyeah, is flog gonna be fast?
- blueyes
- bluealso there's a follow-up to turn it into a runtime, and it's quite promising
- bluehttps://repopack.com/project/flog/tasks/10
- bluehttps://repopack.com/project/flog/jobs/7?run=186
- bluephaleth: ^
- phalethis it gonna embed v8 and use cgo?
- blueprobably gonna do handoff
- blue`flog app.ts --engine v8`, will handoff to flog-v8
- bluedefault engine probably gonna be qjs or whatver you configure. until dog is ready
- bluephaleth, esbuild showed that handoff isn't really as bad as people think. esbuild is actually not implemented as a node module, but as a real executable invoked by `exec` from node
- bluethe benefits are great, not having to support .node abi means bun and deno can run it in the same speed
- bluewhat flog will do is a bit different: it will hand off to another process, so the other way around from esbuild
- phalethI'd postpone dog until there is a ton of money to burn, web standars is a moving target
- phalethyup, esbuild is shipped as golang binary
- bluethe only thing I wanna see disappearing is node:, bun: and deno:, in favour of std:
- bluethat's my main reason for dog, tbh
- blueor flog in this case, really. dog is an engine
- phalethyeah, don't worry about engine, it's a ton of wasted time
- bluehey, you know me, I liek wasting time :P
- bluebut yeah. dog isn't a priority
- phalethbut for that life is short
- bluethe only reason to do it is satisfy the dog + master branch joke
- blue:P
- phalethflog will already have to have a ton of bindings to v8
- bluebut as you will see, #10 is deferred: I have no intentions of going the runtime path now until I've moved forward a few other things, mostly repopack
- phalethI think clanker can create some nice single page html for flog.run and that's about it
- bluejust need flog.run/install for now
- phalethand also the install.sh
- blueyes
- bluebtw, soon I can get rid of the machinectl things for scld
- blueit's ported to a repopack project and primate 0.42
- phalethwell, I have to create a backend in haproxy config, so it'd be good if there was at least something on https://flog.run/
- nevetPrimate โ The Universal Web Framework
- blueand postgres, instead of mongo
- blueyes
- blueI agree
- bluethis is coming up
- bluehttps://repopack.com/project/flog/jobs/7?run=186
- phalethyeah, let me know when I should modify the backend for sc
- bluephaleth: btw: hit `t` inside any repopack project :P
- phalethyeah, I'd like to see a trust me bro script and a front page at least with the how to install via trust me bro script, I now I can just download the thing
- blueyes
- bluethis is coming
- phalethclanker just spends so much tokens spamming all these repopack tasks and so it should be able to do that no problem
- blue100%, I'm just out of it currently
- phalethheh, ok
- phalethblue: can you merge this one manually? https://repopack.com/project/primate/tasks/191 I've already tested the Containerfile it's fine, then we can deploy the master branch
- bluedone
- phaleththanks, I will try to deploy the master
- blue`rp app deploy web-master`
- bluetechnically it's set to autodeploy on master advances, but there's a repopack bug there
- phalethyeah, how can you remember that
- phalethright
- bluewell rp always works like that
- blue`rp [command] [subommand] [args] [flags]`
- bluethe only thing you'd need to remember is the app name
- blueand if you don't, you issue `rp app list`
- bluelooks like it's working phaleth
- blueremember how a year or so ago I was complaining how hard it was to redeploy reliably on master, with fly?
- bluewe're almost there now :)
- phalethis repopack queing up these deployments?
- phalethand processing them FIFO style
- phalethanyway, the node's permission model is good enough for containers as containers should limit available ports, unless it has bugs
- blueI think it does FIFO, yes, but I'd need to check
- phalethso it seems like deno doesn't solve anything node cannot solve
- bluedeno is snake oil
- phalethok, cool
- phalethheh, so is bun
- phalethdo you think I should be able to replace nub with flog for the deployment? I guess flog detects node runtime right?
- phaleththere is no need for any trust me bro script for that
- blueyou could try, look at all that flog is already doing https://repopack.com/project/flog/tasks?status=closed
- bluewhen I go back to work on it, as soon as the reset hits, I'll set up flog.repopack.app and then we could point flog.run to it
- phalethalright
- bluehttps://repopack.com/project/repopack/tasks/566
- blueneed to deploy this as well
- bluehttps://repopack.com/project/flog/jobs/7
- bluecurrently job ids are global, that patch fixes them to be local, like tasks
- bluethis is important, especially when we switch to uuids for the id field
- phaleththe rp CLI is fetched from here https://repopack.com/api/v0/cli/version and that URL is public, is there such URL for flog as well?
- phalethyeah, looks like job ids are public
- phalethor rather in a shared table
- phalethwell, flog artifacts are protected
- phalethhmm, wait, I see the pattern
- phalethit's just returning 404
- blueyou can download it from the ui I think
- bluehttps://repopack.com/project/flog/jobs/7/runs/186/artifacts/flog-0.1.0-job-test-linux-amd64.tar.gz
- jreicherWhat is repopack? I was going to check it out but apparently I need a signin?
- bluejreicher: agentic git forge and deployment platform
- phalethblue: yeah, but the container build cannot since that is behind login
- phaleththis is public https://repopack.com/api/v0/jobs/1/runs/188/artifacts/ but this isn't https://repopack.com/api/v0/jobs/7/runs/186/artifacts/
- phalethor I guess the second one isn't even routed or so
- phalethjreicher: you will need an invite from blue and there are prolly couple other hoops to get in
- bluephaleth: let me fix that
- phalethok
- phalethmanually ;)
- bluein fact phaleth
- blueyou can update it yourself, if you wish
- bluerp job info 7
- bluedoes that work for you?
- blue(inside the flog checkout)
- phalethI need to be in the flog project I guess
- phalethyeah
- blueyes
- phalethlet me try then
- bluejreicher: you can join #repopack ; I can invite you if you provide me an email
- blueanyway phaleth
- bluerp job info 7 > /tmp/7.json
- bluethen edit the json and change artifact_access to "public"
- bluethen `rp job update 7 [json]`
- phalethok, heh
- jreicherHmm. What about repopack is "agentic"?
- bluephaleth: in one command, rp job update 7 "$(rp job info 7 | jq '.artifact_access = "public"')"
- jreicherI don't want to take up your time/effort if it's not something I'm actually going to use
- bluephaleth: you might need to rerun the job though I'm not sure, try without rerunning first
- phalethI don't understand the command `rp job update 7 [json]`
- blueupdate the job of that numbre with the given json string
- bluelook at my one command example with jq
- phalethPATCH /api/v0/jobs/7?project=flog failed: 404 Not Found: <!doctype html>
- phaleththat's what your one-liner returned
- bluelet me check the route
- bluejreicher: well, the flow on github is usually, you have issues and PRs. repopack replaces both with 'tasks'. tasks are bound to server branches, and they go through a status cycle of OPEN -> ACTIVE -> REVIEW -> REVISION/READY
- bluethe flow maximises working with agents to complete agents, and then providing feedback either by operators or by other agents
- bluerepopack is probably less interesting for you if you don't work with agents
- phalethor maybe repopack is more interesting if you wanna try working with agents and never done that before
- blueyes
- blueI'm checking that patch route, phaleth
- phalethand it looks like a code you've never seen before, heh
- bluewell, the patch route does exist
- phalethat least you know primate so you can find it, I'd not know where to look
- blueweb/routes/api/v0/jobs/[job]/index.ts
- blueweird, I see nothing in the logs
- phaleththere's also web/routes/api/v0/jobs/[job]/runs/[run]/artifacts/index.ts
- blueyes
- bluephaleth: for now use this https://superarch.org/flog-0.1.0-job-test-linux-amd64.tar.gz
- blueuntil I fix it
- phalethok, let me give you the full response
- blueI have it myself
- blueI tried it too
- phalethah, ok :D
- blueafk for a few hours. jreicher: feel free to join #repopack and/or send me your email address privately for an invite. if you have privacy concerns, use an email alias
- phalethbtw, here is possibly another bug
- phaleth[user@archlinux primate](master):$ rp job info 1
- phalethGET /api/v0/jobs/1?project=primate failed: 404 Not Found: Not found
- blueright, `rp job list` is empty
- bluephaleth could you create tasks on repopack?
- bluefor the those two bugs
- phalethyeah, sure
- bluethanks
- blueok, afk, later
